Position Summary
This Financial Analyst position has the major responsibility to play a critical role in BD's Legal Operations function to design processes and programs that effectively and consistently comply with the Law Group's client servicing while meeting key operational objectives. Reporting to the VP, Legal Operations and Financial Portfolio Management, this position will work closely in the development and management of worldwide internal budgets on behalf of the Law Group, as well as WW outside counsel budgets and business process. This role is responsible and accountable to influence compliance with outside counsel engagement procedures and billing guideline requirements.
This career opportunity will be HYBRID (3 days in the office) at our Franklin Lakes, NJ location.
Primary Purpose of the Role
Budget and Global Financial Reporting - Partners closely with the VP to build, manage the WW Law Group's internal budgets Partners with key Law Group Finance partners to effectively reconcile financial data and information, as well as all accruals, projections including charge-ins and charge-outs. Collaborates and coordinates closely with the VP to establish and handle the WW Law Group's outside counsel budgets. Acts as the subject matter liaison, for the WW business unit and Corporate Finance representatives. Provide ad-hoc global reporting to internal partners as needed.
Develop, maintain and update dashboards to track and report key WW Law Group data, information and metrics.
Communication - Assist the VP with respect to various internal and external communications regarding Law Group initiatives, strategies, processes, system implementations, etc. ensuring they are implemented in a consistent manner that aligns with BD practices.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree required, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 1-3 years of shown experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, or other related fields. Legal financial experience a plus.
- Excel proficiency
- Proven understanding of SAP
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Attention to accuracy and detail required
- Experience with Legal Tracker preferred.
- Strong work ethic
- Validated ability to communicate well with all levels of management.
- Collaborative working style
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed, challenging environment with strong attention to detail
