OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the SVP, Principal Treasury Officer, this position will assist in the monitoring of the Bank's liquidity position inclusive of daily cash management, liquidity policy monitoring, liquidity forecasting, and investment portfolio transaction processing and monitoring. This position will assist with the compilation of the monthly Asset-Liability Committee (ALCO) reports pertaining to Interest Rate Risk Modeling, Liquidity, and Investments. This position will also provide crucial analysis to Management pertaining to peer group reporting as well as assist the CFO in the preparation of investor relations materials. Provide support to the Principal Treasury Officer, the CFO, and the Accounting team in all assigned project responsibilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Assemble crucial ALCO reporting pertaining to Interest Rate Risk Modeling, Liquidity, and Investments;
- Assist in managing the Company's investment portfolio bond accounting system;
- Assist in the oversight of the Bank's daily cash position inclusive of all correspondent bank accounts and borrowing capacities;
- Support the Principal Treasury Officer with internal and external auditors, and state and federal examiners by compiling and safekeeping due-diligence documentation, updating internal procedures, and maintaining SOX controls relevant to the Treasury function;
- Support the CFO in all functions pertaining to investor relations and strategic projects;
- Compile, analyze, and present financial results relative to peer and competitor institutions;
- Perform ad hoc analysis to analyze profitability of products;
- Provide strategic financial input on decision making issues affecting the Company pertaining to interest rate risk, liquidity, and investments;
- Complete other duties as assigned;
- Actively represents the Company in public relations and related community activities; and,
- Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent;
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Must be able to coordinate multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day duties and responsibilities;
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint; and,
- Desire to learn and ambition to succeed.
Preferred:
- 1-3 years of bank/financial institution experience;
- Familiarity with Bond Accounting systems and reporting capabilities;
- Treasury & Funding experience;
- General asset/liability experience;
- Basic knowledge of economics, finance, accounting, and banking;
- Basic understanding of liquidity management including cash management and investments;
- Basic knowledge of accounting practices and regulations impacting financial institutions, including familiarity with procedures for preparing regulatory reports;
- Working knowledge of banking regulatory requirements;
- Basic knowledge of equity and fixed income investments; and,
- Thorough understanding of financial systems and capabilities.
Location: Hybrid within reasonable commuting distance to Gettysburg PA as required.
