Financial Analyst - Hybrid Remote (Atlanta, GA)
Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Trade Finance, the incumbent will primarily support the Sales department to help them understand their financials and accruals. This person will perform and/or support analysis around customer profitability, promotional profitability, product line profitability, as well as be responsible for building and approving customer pricing and programs.
Candidates must reside in or around Atlanta, GA to be considered for this role.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Schedules and conducts monthly meetings with the Sales department to review their monthly financials.
- Assists in demand planning to support and ensure a forward looking forecast.
- Reviews Invoice to Net (I:N) spending and future spending vs budget and prior year and assists the sales reps in understanding how to improve.
- Supports the Sales department in ensuring that their I:N spend is accrued for appropriately and accurately.
- Supports the Sales department in identifying cost reductions and more profitable use of promotions.
- Assists in developing slides for the bi-monthly Business Review for the Sales department.
- Partners with the Business Insights & Analytics team to develop a full P&L view of the profitability of the promotions run in the prior month.
- Conducts various training exercises for the Sales, Business Insights & Analytics, and Marketing departments to ensure a comprehensive understanding of how their roles affect the company P&L.
- Guides Sales department through the budget process, assisting in their budget build at a customer level for the following year.
- Creates and sends monthly broker scorecard to Sales personnel to assist in the evaluation of the progress of the brokers.
- Reviews and approves check requests through Salesforce to ensure that customers are paid appropriately for promotions and rebates.
- Reviews financials/spend and retrieves signatures related to contracts with brokers, customers, and distributors.
- Compiles commissions owed to our brokers on a monthly basis.
- Creates and manages a Contract Tracker to ensure good visibility of the organization's contract liability for each customer.
- Partners with Accounts Receivables during the month-end process to log and accurately display the deductions that took place that month.
- Supports accuracy of customer pricing list by reviewing internal forecasting system and ensuring accuracy against orders received.
- Guides A/R and Deduction related to categorizing deductions.
- Generates process improvement initiatives within the Finance team, as needed.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, required.
- General understanding of GAAP and accepted auditing standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
