Financial Analyst I - Pricing
Job Description
The role of a Financial Analyst I - Pricing is to partner with the sales teams by providing pricing guidance and analytical support. This is achieved by adhering to set-forth guidelines and thresholds while displaying effective working knowledge of the business segment. Within this role the Financial Analyst I - Pricing begins to identify industry trends, taking on small-scale ad-hoc projects and reports to the Pricing Lead.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate as the cross-functional business partner with various internal departments to provide pricing and analytical support.
- Manage deal flow in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies
- Act as the key player in managing contract programs and provide individual customer pricing. This requires utilization and maintenance of pricing models
- Support the sales teams through financial modeling, profitability and revenue risk exposure, and pricing approval process management
- Provide a consultative approach to submitting bid offers based on industry knowledge, margin expectations and contractual obligations
- Build a productive and harmonious working relationship with key stakeholders in various departments.
- Analyze quantitative data to understand pricing trends and elevate findings accordingly
- Develop effective working knowledge of assigned business segment
- Perform ad-hoc analysis based on business needs and strategic growth initiatives
- All other projects and duties as assigned
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in financial analysis preferred
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Aptitude to perform under time constraints
- Ability to prioritize and execute with proficiency
- Exceptional communication skills; both written and verbal
- Efficient process management
- Strong problem solving & analytical skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Basic understanding of financial statements and pricing models
- Ability to interpret data from various sources and present findings with recommendations for action
- Proficient in of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
