In this position, you will be supporting the majority- owned Cleveland Clinic spin-off companies where you would handle"
-completing reconciliations
-owning the month end close process
-drafting financial statements
- creating monthly reporting/ analysis (budget vs. actual cash flow analysis)
An ideal candidate would have public accounting experience and would be CPA exam eligible with at least 2 years of related experience.
Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Prepares, analyzes and communicates key financial information.
- Provides support to management and other staff members regarding financial reporting and related issues.
- Assists with budget preparation, budget review for compliance and financial planning.
- Consults with all levels of management to provide decision support for initiatives, policies and procedures.
- Performs special projects and duties related to research, forecasting and conflict resolution as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
Certifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Account (CMA) certification preferred.
Complexity of Work:
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Work Experience:
- Minimum two years financial or revenue cycle management or general analytical experience.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Offset: High School diploma/GED and six years of experience.
- Offset: Associate's degree and four years of experience.
- Offset: Master's degree and one year of experience.
- Offset: Cleveland Clinic Finance Fellow experience may offset one year of required experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment.
- In some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
- In some locations ability to move up to 25 lbs.

- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
