Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Finance Teams are responsible for economic research, analysis of profit-and-loss income statements and preparation of reports on findings to make recommendations to management. They generate forecasts and analyze trends in sales, finance and other areas of business. The Finance Teams also create financial models of "what if" scenarios to help future business planning decisions.

Duties will encompass providing cost analysis, standard cost development, budgeting, forecasting, financial and inventory analysis. The position will be the primary contact for developing and maintaining the various operational reports and analysis required by Local and Global leadership teams, as well as coordinating with local management to deliver commentary on variances to budget, prior year and forecast This position provides the candidate with opportunities to identify, lead, and drive process improvements, while working in a team environment and interact with multiple functions across the organization.

Essential Functions:• Provide cost analysis, standard cost establishment, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis & support to Plant management• Ensure prompt month-end/year-end closing, assist in preparation of site performance reports and operations review. • Participate in continuous improvement efforts/WCM/TEBIT • Participate and help to organize the annual physical inventory and other cycle count programs.• Conduct manufacturing variance analysis and assist plant ops to reduce unexpected variances• Assist plant management in creating Capital expenditure request with Payback period- Net Present Value and Internal rate of Return.• Analyze and provide recommendations for complex business issues to address, mitigate financial gaps within SCOP Vs ACOP, Production Order variance and manufacturing absorption variance.• Analysis to reduce obsolete and slow-moving inventory- mitigate risk of RMA and review of at risk inventory.• Ad hoc financial analysis to challenge the status quo; proactively look for financial relationships to be evaluated to improve operational performance

What your background should look like:

REQUIRED PRIOR SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting required, including significant accounting coursework (cost accounting courses strongly preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of GAAP
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency & ERP -SAP preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in Accounting or Financial Analyst role; experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred
  • Interest on obtaining CMA/MBA preferred

COMPENSATION• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $61.3 - 91.9k annually (subject to change dependent on physical location)• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
