A DAY IN THE LIFE:

This role will be a key member of the Financial Planning and Analysis team, driving the development and maintenance of effective financial planning, reporting, and analysis processes. Responsible for generating meaningful reporting and analytics and effectively communicating those findings across all levels of the organization to drive strong financial decision making. Key areas will include preparing and managing periodic results, interacting with various functional business partners, and maintaining the financial planning system. This role provides insight and analysis across the P&L from revenue through profit while understanding the revenue and expense drivers across the business.

  • Engage with business leaders to develop annual budget, pressure test budget request using productivity metrics, ROI on investment as needed. Build key relationships and support the achievement of departments priorities and objectives.
  • Owns the forecasting process and annual budget planning for designated functions.
  • Develops relationships with the business to become a strategic business partner. Provides financial analytic support to all cross-functional teams to drive financial decisions.
  • Develop financial analysis by working cross-functionally to drive well thought out financial decisions and provide valuable insight to project team leaders.
  • Perform variance analysis on headcount, spending and assumptions against prior forecast. Drive monthly business review and quarterly forecast process with business leaders.
  • Drive continuous improvement in forecasting, reporting deliverables and processes.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, and planning applications.
  • Ability to quickly develop familiarity with ERP systems, previous experience with Workday Adaptive Planning a plus.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, information systems or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
  • 2+ years' previous experience in a financial planning and analysis role, business partnering or other finance area.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The starting base pay range for this position is $75,000 - $88,000 annually. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate's location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus, equity, and a robust benefits package.

Tandem offers health care benefits such as medical, dental, vision, health savings accounts and flexible saving accounts. You'll also receive 11 paid holidays per year, a minimum of 20 days of paid time off (accrual starts on day 1) and have access to a 401k plan with company match.
