Financial Analyst - Intermediate

Medica is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team. This team is focused on financial reporting, forecasting, statutory filings, tax submissions, and tax audits. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for collecting and analyzing high level general ledger data.

Duties include the collection and submission of data, analysis of results; monitoring of variances; and recommending actions to management. On top of the general duties the Financial Analyst will be supporting our expense management, travel, and invoicing software, SAP Concur. This person will be asked to assist in the support and administration of systems that support the corporate finance area.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field, plus 3+ years of work experience beyond degree within finance, financial reporting, financial forecasting and/or financial systems or related required

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to analyze financial data by collecting, monitoring and creating financial models for decision support
• Ability to partner cross-functionally through the organization
• Self-starter mentality with the ability to work individually as well as part of a team
• Preferred experience in financial systems. Ex. Building dashboards, working with data visualization tools, financial modeling. Ex. Cognos, Power BI, Tableau, IBM Planning Analytics, TM1, Oracle Essbase etc.
• Improve financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management
• Assist with annual and quarterly forecasting as needed
