Fall 2023 Internship: This position is located at our HQ in Durham, NC. Expected program dates are August 28 - December 8, 2023.

Introduction:

This role is open to undergraduate students currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program, majoring in finance, accounting or business. The intern will work in a number of different functional areas but will have a specific focus in the area of Financial Planning & Analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Support monthly close and forecast, analyze monthly results, provide variance explanations
  • Review and analyze P&L's and general ledger account balances to ensure accuracy of financial statements and compliance with GAAP
  • Drive the reporting function by building dashboards and other summaries for management
  • Assist with financial modeling analysis and other special projects
  • Prepare timely and accurate reporting and analysis
  • Participate on various finance led process improvement activities and other special projects
  • Business partnering with numerous teams across the business
  • Perform other ad hoc analysis as requested

Required Skills:

  • This role is open to undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in a four-year or advanced degree program, majoring in finance, accounting or business.
  • Good knowledge of general accounting procedures and US GAAP
  • Intermediate skills in Excel graphing and PowerPoint are required
  • Must be proficient with financial concepts
  • Analytical and logical reasoning skills
  • Capable of taking direction and working independently on assigned tasks
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse team members as needed
