Financial Analyst Intern, Summer 2023 (Onsite)

We operate the largest online marketplace for insurance shopping in the United States. The Finance team at EverQuote is looking for a Finance Intern to help support our team with mission critical forecasting, trend analysis, and reporting to help drive strategic decision-making. We’re looking for an individual that has a passion for analyzing data to understand the key drivers of business results and can clearly tell the story behind the numbers. This position requires attention to detail, self-motivation to be accountable to deliverables and deadlines and an ability to thrive in a fast paced, rapidly evolving environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Support weekly trending and forecasting process through analysis and preparation of materials for senior leadership reviews
• Perform variance analysis and trending analysis to identify key drivers of results and recommend actions for optimization
• Work cross-functionally within other areas of the business, such as Consumer Acquisition, Distribution, Analytics, People Ops, and Accounting

Who You’ll Work With:

• You will report to our Senior Financial Analyst, and you will have the opportunity to with EverQuote's VP of Finance, Strategic Finance Manager, and other Financial Analysts on the team.

About You: 

• GPA of 3.5 or higher
• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance or Economics
• Strong quantitative skills, advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, comfortable working with large amounts of data
• High level of efficiency, accuracy, organization, and responsibility.
• Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
• Strong problem-solving skills including project prioritization, critical thinking and hypothesis development
• Ability to develop cogent arguments and present them concisely to a range of stakeholders, including executives

Our Finance Internship Program is a 10-12 week program focused on sourcing and developing talent for careers in finance and accounting. The start date for this internship is June 5, 2023. Interns will receive $23/hour and will work 40 hours a week through the duration of this internship.
