Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Finance Teams are responsible for economic research, analysis of profit-and-loss income statements and preparation of reports on findings to make recommendations to management. They generate forecasts and analyze trends in sales, finance and other areas of business. The Finance Teams also create financial models of "what if" scenarios to help future business planning decisions.

The Financial Analyst will report to the Sr. Director(Product Management) in the DND Business Unit while serving as the business partner to the DND Product Management team. The position will drive enhanced visibility into Product team financial performance (full P&L ownership) and support decision-making for portfolio investments. The analyst will have a significant impact on driving profitable growth within the portfolio and assist the team in achieving near/long term performance goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Product Management to support revenue growth and expand product portfolio margins
  • Perform portfolio analysis to determine present and future financial performance.
  • Support organic growth initiatives through investment proposal analysis and headcount
  • Validate business case and approve project investments for new product development (PAC/mini-PAC)
  • Prepare monthly forecast; review and document deltas to plan, prior year, prior forecast and financial commit
  • Perform ad-hoc billings/bookings and margin analysis to identify trends, gaps and business insights.
  • Proactively communicate potential risks & opportunities, through variance, bridges & decision support analysis
  • Support preparation of the strategic plan, Product deep dive, Quarterly forecasts, MBR and other ad-hoc projects, requests and presentations
  • Analysis of product costs in support of pricing activities, cost reduction/margin improvement and other initiatives
  • Analysis for manufacturing cost improvement and footprint initiatives.
  • Support and validate inputs into the S&OP and demand management process
  • Proactively apply TEOA-F principles in order to continuously improve financial and other associated processes
