Job Description
The Financial Analyst will work with revenue producers and support staff to perform various forms of financial analysis, database research, and other support tasks. In this role, the Financial Analyst will support the team in pursuit of prospective clients and the servicing of existing clients from an analytical perspective. The team is seeking an individual who possesses a strong work ethic, commitment to accuracy/attention to detail, ability to thrive in a team environment, and strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Key responsibilities
Financial Analysis
- Collect required data inputs and make request for information, as needed, from necessary parties to complete analysis
- Perform various analytics primarily using Microsoft Excel
- Learn to understand rent rolls, how to interpret historical profit and loss statements, and analyze comparable market properties
- Meet with team to discuss assumptions and scenarios for analysis
- Draft analysis for review and packaging of material by fee-earners
- Edit and refine analysis based on feedback
- Support Graphic Designer, as required, for creative interpretation of financial analysis
- Finalize and package analysis for delivery to fee-earners
- Demonstrates continual development of modeling skills and competencies with increasing complexity and scope of the position with time in the role
Other Required Tasks
- Interact with clients and prospective buyers to answer detailed questions regarding Income Statements, Rent Rolls, etc.
- Manage daily edits to database, and proactive database projects for business development
- Attend strategy meetings regarding business development
- Update comparable sales matrix using industry publications, and present to team on a monthly basis
- Work closely with Graphic Designer in support role for preparation of Offering Memorandums, Broker Opinions of Value and Proposals (some use of Adobe InDesign will be required)
- Edit analysis based on feedback
- Work with Graphic Designer on related visuals for quarterly newsletter and other marketing projects
BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
Demonstrated experience should include:
- Bachelor's Degree (Real Estate, Finance or Accounting preferred)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Commercial Real Estate experience preferred
- Adobe InDesign experience preferred
