What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Product Control, The role is responsible for providing analytical and initiative support for products and overseeing that all requested transactions have been accurately booked. The role applies comprehensive knowledge and skills to oversee the settlement of all transactions as per standard industry procedures, ensuring any exceptions are identified and resolved to confirm the accuracy of information and timeliness. The role makes decisions on their own work methods to make sure the control log of unmatched trades is properly managed, and to verify trading activities and investigate any discrepancies related to trading. The role ensures that direct external transactions are independently confirmed and verified in accordance with industry best practices

You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote. How you'll succeed
- P&L Analysis: Analyze, interpret, and communicate daily trade information using underlying profit and loss reports from the general ledger (GL) and other trading systems for our Capital Markets lines of businesses.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile source system trade data against trader estimates/general ledger and communicate discrepancies and provide commentary on main P&L drivers. Assist with daily investigations and resolve P&L variances.
- Data Management: Collect, organize, and maintain data related to Profit/Loss and balance sheet/trial balance data from the GL.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with trading desks, accounting and CFO teams to gather and analyze Daily Financial Estimates against the General Ledger. Assist in investigating variances and explaining month-end adjustments.
- Audit Support: Assist internal and external auditors in the examination and verification of financial data as needed.
Who you are
- You are a professional. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- You have demonstrated experience. Proven experience in financial analysis, P&L reporting within the banking or financial industry. Strong knowledge of financial instruments, trading strategies, and risk management practices.
- Technical knowledge. Proficiency in Microsoft tools (i.e.. Excel) is required.
- Stakeholder Management. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
