Transaction Banking Finance provides the finance, planning and analytical support for the Transaction Banking business unit. Financial Analyst is a key member of the team and provides comprehensive and complex financial analysist for the banks Operations Business unit by preparing complex analytical and financial reports.

Major Responsibilities include:

• Participate in the budget and forecast process, including associated analysis of financial reports, developing summaries for inclusion in various executive level presentations
• Collaborate with various stakeholders in corporate FP&A, controllers, LOB finance partners, LOB partners on finance topics such as budgeting forecasting and analysis of financial results.
• Provides written analysis and interpretation of results. Maintains financial systems or databases.
• Maintain a close understanding of business risks and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain financial systems or databases solutions.
• Establishes financial assumptions and critical decision variables.
• Performs additional duties and special projects, as assigned.
• Responsible for month end close including balance sheet roll forward, variance explanations, accruals, and fixed asset reporting/monitoring

Qualifications

• Strong grades in an Accounting/Finance major
• Leadership experience in working on a team: projects, sports, etc.
• Relevant work experience in an office setting
• Strong focus on customer service and maintaining high standards of integrity
• Proactive attitude and strong work ethic
• Self-starter who is curious, independently pursues knowledge, and is willing and able to learn quickly
• Open to taking on new responsibilities

Education and Experience Requirements

• BS/BA in Finance, Business or Accounting required
• 1-4 years of increasingly more complex responsibility in performing financial analysis.
• Excellent verbal, written, and matrix management skills.
• Must have strong reasoning, interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills.
• Experience with Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SQL queries
• Team player, proactive attitude and strong work ethic
• Knowledge and experience with Hyperion, Excel, Power Point and Business Objects.
• Advanced Technical Skills Access Database, Data Analysis (SQL), Crystal Reporting, and Visual Basics desired
• Operational budgeting experience desired.
