Financial Analyst (Remote-US)

General Purpose:

The position is responsible for providing support for the financial functions of the System Medical Group, including the Market physician entities. This includes providing financial analysis of the physician practices' planning and annual budgeting processes; working with the Finance team in coordinating and producing system analytics and reporting related to financial performance; and supporting the management and development of analytical tools to enhance operational performance.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Assist the development of Regional interim forecasts, annual plans and long-term financial plans, including manipulation of financial models to integrate assumptions, impacts and initiatives as directed.
• Helps to facilitate strategic financial planning and budgeting processes to accomplish business unit goals established by each Market and the System.
• Assist the preparation of System analysis for evaluation of operational performance for the Physician enterprise.
• Support the maintenance of data and ensure data integrity, including but not limited to compiling information for input into various reporting systems (i.e. Hyperion, Workday, Athena Clarity); assist in the development and maintenance of data worksheets; preparing files for loading; and perform and document data integrity audits.
• Prepares departmental reports, records and collects statistical data for administrative and decision-making purposes.
• Develop and distribute standardized reports to evaluate and monitor financial performance for the Physician Enterprise, including analyses of variances and trends and comparison to peer groups and benchmarks.
• Develop ad hoc reports ensuring that user expectations are mutually agreed to and met regarding content, timeliness, and format to support user needs.
• Identify improvements to enhance the maintenance or utilization of analytical information.
• Other analytic and support services as identified.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

• Minimum Years and Type of Experience: 1-3 years of comparable experience in Finance, Accounting, Operations, or Data Analysis.
• Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written, ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred: Power BI, SQL, Tableau experience is a plus
• Bachelors degree in Finance, Analytics, Healthcare Administration or related field
