Financial Analyst / Senior Accountant
Job Description
The Accounting Manager / Financial Analyst will assist the VP of Finance in providing financial leadership to the business. This role will contribute to the organization as an active business partner that is responsible for supporting the company’s goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values. S/He assists the development and administration of the organization’s accounting systems; practices, controls and procedures that conform to accepted accounting practices and reflect operating costs, budgets, and profitability. S/He assists the VP of Finance in preparing timely and comprehensive reports including analysis of financial data; statements, audits, etc., covering sales, earnings, profits, cash balances and other financial results.
Essential Functions ·
Assist/perform month-end close process ·
Assist/perform account reconciliations ·
Assist/conduct General Ledger reviews ·
Inventory analysis and control ·
Assist/oversee sales tax compliance nationwide

Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.

Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.

Maximizes return and limits risk on cash by minimizing bank balances and making investments.

Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

Partner with Director of Marketing, Manager of Performance Marketing and other department leaders and provide various financial analyses
Education/ Experience Minimum education/experience required:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business related field.

3 years of progressive accounting and finance experience

High proficiency in Excel

Proficiency in Quick Books Online or comparable accounting applications required
- Preferred: MBA or CPA Physical Requirements
