WPP is on a global transformation journey for its accounting and finance departments.ย This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team with a great learning environment.ย We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join the Group Financial Reporting team at US Corporate Headquarters.
What you'll be doing:
The Financial Analyst supports our monthly and quarterly accounting and consolidation functions as well as work on the accounting for ad hoc transactions and projects involving the tax, treasury, and real estate departments as well as the operating companies of WPP.
This role will report into the Senior Financial Analyst, Group Financial Reporting.
- Perform intercompany Dividend reconciliation
- Monitor and analyze the WIP account to ensure that negative WIP amounts are identified and substantiated through review of the underlying accounting
- Assist in the Balance Sheet Review Process (i.e. making selections for the balance sheet review and analyzing balance sheet fluctuation explanations provided by various operating companies)
- Development of accounting entries for share transfers, tax restructurings, and acquisitions deals originated by the US tax department
- Assist in preparation of annual report, 20F, and 6k
- Assist group reporting where applicable
What you'll need:
- Bachelor of Science (โB.Sโ) Accounting
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting field
- Experience in Public Accounting (big 4 preferred)
- Certified Public Accountant (โCPAโ) or working towards CPA designation
- Must have analytical experience, be accurate with figures, well organized and exercise sound judgment in decision making
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to communicate with people tactfully and effectively as there is significant correspondence with various operating companies within the WPP network
- Good time management and organizational skills
