Financial Analyst Sr

Overview

This financial analyst position is to support the Health System's month end close, budgeting, financial forecasting, managerial finance needs, and capital efforts at the Hospital/Division level.

Responsibilities

Maintains advance knowledge of the financial computer systems and serves as a resource to others (Hospital/Division leadership and Accountants) in their understanding of the transaction processing and reporting from these systems.

Supports monthly financial close process by preparing supporting schedules and documentation. Assist in reviewing and analyzing actual to budget variances such that accurate financial statements can be prepared.

Completes routine/monthly tasks as assigned for accurate financially informed decision making, including but not limited to traditional financial analysis and variance analysis. Provides recommendations that enhance net revenue or provide opportunity to decrease expenses.

General working knowledge of divisional key performance indicators (KPIs), relative value units (RVU• s), and revenue payer mix and how they affect divisional financial performance. Also performs other specific departmental analysis as requested by Division leaders.

Participate in annual budget process by supporting divisional leaders and other finance personnel by preparing summaries and schedules as needed.

Participate in the quarterly forecasting process by supporting divisional leaders and other finance personnel by preparing summaries and schedules as needed.

Participate in the continuous quarterly capital planning process by supporting divisional leaders and other financial personnel as requested.

Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:Required: Bachelor's degree, Required

EXPERIENCE:5 years Finance/Accounting

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
