Financial Analyst- Treasury

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Director of Treasury and Finance Operations, the Financial Analyst will provide analytical support for investments, forecasting cash requirements, long-term financing activities, accounting and maintaining Endowments funds and performing other functions associated with treasury and finance operations.

This is a hybrid position and as needed will required to be in office with responsibility for timely deposits of all non-patient/non-pharmacy cash receipts including Research Operations and Development donations and other responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly investment transactions and journal entries
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for all investments balances
• Assist in preparing and reviewing files for quarterly Investment Committee meetings
• Participate in all investment related inquiries and schedules for annual audit
• Assist in preparation of investment footnotes and disclosures, inquiries and schedules for annual audited financial statements and tax returns
• Assist in forecasting unrestricted cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment
• Assist in preparation of content and analytics for financial presentations to System's Finance Committee and Board of Trustees related to unrestricted cash positions and financial ratios
• Assist in managing relationship with investment advisors and investment custodians and ensure transactions are completed in a timely and accurate manner
• Assist in monitoring and preparing documents related to covenant requirements on a timely basis including but not limited to quarterly and annual disclosure, arbitrage and rebate analyses to submit to Trustee and bondholders.
• 1-2 days per week in office with responsibility for timely deposits of all non-patient/non-pharmacy cash receipts including Research Operations and Development donations
• Backup to Finance Operations Analyst in working with Accounting billing, Research Operations and Development to ensure that cash receipts are appropriately applied and accounted for
• Preparation of Development and Endowment funds accounting and maintenance
• Prepares cost/benefit analyses, financial projections, and ad hoc reports as defined and framed by Director of Treasury and Finance Operations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

• Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, Economics or related field. Master in Business or Public Administration preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 3 years related experience.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Must be highly self-motivated individual with the ability to function in a fast paced environment with limited supervision and direction. Must be able to handle multiple complex tasks and priorities.
• Requires superior interpersonal skills to effectively work and communicate with all levels of Management inside and outside Finance
• Must have strong computer skills on various software products and systems including automated general ledger, spreadsheet, word-processing, etc.
• Must be a dedicated team player with the willingness and desire to learn and grow within the organization.
