Financial and Accounting Specialist

Responsibilities and Duties

• Strong participation in the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliation, while applying GAAP accounting to effectively report accurate GL balances
• Select balance sheet account reconciliations (payroll related liabilities, etc.)
• Analyzes Month-End financials to ensure accurate company, GL account, location and department coding by accounting staff, documents reasons for account variations from prior month. 
•  Participates in preparation of preliminary flux review of financials before month-end close.
• Works with other GL accountants on month-end review comments and research treatment of invoices and transactions.
•  Interfaces with other departments in the education and enforcement of accounting policies and/or procedures and well as providing information and support to other departments as necessary. 
•  Performs special accounting projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business administration or equivalent
• 1+ year of experience in Account Payable
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Have basic accounting skills
• Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate Microsoft Excel)
• Team player and eager to learn
• Bilingual in Chinese/Mandarin is a plus
