Financial Consultant
Job Description
As a Financial Consultant, you will enable clients to realize their financial goals with the ability to attract, provide service and close business with clients. Assess clients' circumstances and objectives, and provide individualized, strategic retirement/investment consulting. Access a full range of wealth-building, managing and preserving products including mutual funds, stocks, bonds, IRAs, insurance, estate planning and many other services to offer to the client base and the membership.
Responsibilities
- Analyze investment opportunities and client needs, and recommend appropriate strategies
- Prepare the required paperwork to open brokerage accounts, mutual funds, annuities, etc.
- Build client relationships based on developing strategies to attain their financial goals through the use of financial planning and wealth management. Take complex financial information and communicate it to clients in a manner that enables them to make informed decisions
- Coordinate client review schedule, client surveys and newsletters with advisor associate or designated branch employee to retain clients
- Create a sales and marketing strategy for new client relationships, identify opportunities for referrals, and develop and cultivate own client base
- Prepare and deliver presentations/seminars to members and prospects for business development purposes.
- Coordinate seminars and webinars in accordance with a marketing plan. Work with advisor associates or branch personnel to prepare for seminar/webinar.
- Attend financial advisor meetings and continuing education sessions to stay current about products, services and policies
Education:
- Bachelors Degree - Business, Finance or Related - Minimum
Years of Experience:
- 5 years - Sales, customer service, finance or related - Minimum
In Lieu of Education:
- 8 years - Sales, customer service, finance or related
License/Certifications/Training:
- Preferred: FINRA Series 7, 65 or 66 or as required by state
- Preferred: State Life/health License
- Preferred: CFP, ChFC, or CLU Designation
