Envoy Global is searching for an experienced Financial Controller to join our growing financial team on a full time, permanent basis. We are looking for a creative thought leader to further collaborate with global partners to develop, implement, and maintain financial controls. The ideal candidate understands the importance of interdepartmental collaboration while implementing key organizational priorities like driving company growth and profitability. Additionally, the Financial Controller will oversee all accounting and reporting for Envoy Global.
As our Financial Controller, you will be required to:
Manage our global accounting team including financial accounting and reporting, accounts payable, billing and collections, and treasury functions.
Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close process along with preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements in compliance with GAAP and in accordance with lender and financial sponsor reporting requirements.
Partner with the FP&A team to perform financial analysis to explain variances in financial performance compared to budget and forecast targets and prior year results.
Support global teams from an accounting, audit, and tax compliance standpoint.
Develop and implement effective systems, accounting policies and financial controls which maintain the integrity of all financial transactions and reporting of the Company.
Lead a culture of continuous operational process improvement that drives best practice efficiencies, seek to automate manual process, and provides the ability to scale the financial environment in a growing business.
Provide technical accounting support, GAAP research and associated documentation.
Gain a strong understanding and be a power user of ERP (Sage Intacct) & other related systems.
Support business acquisition activity in due diligence process and financial integration for affiliated law firms and new businesses to include:
Developing a repeatable process of integrating new businesses in an efficient manner.
Managing purchase accounting following deal close.
Ensure timely development and delivery of cash projections for performance and planning purposes.
Oversee revenue recognition, billing, and collection activities to ensure proper revenue recognition, accurate and timely invoicing, and timely payments from customers.
Oversee cash management/banking and disbursement activities, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and employee expense reports.
Manage the external audit process and monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.
Ensure company maintains regulatory and tax compliance with all federal, state, and local income tax, sales/use tax, and international tax requirements.
Develop relationships with other departments, investors, and affiliates.
Participate in a wide variety of special projects as directed by the CFO or other members of senior management.
Build, develop and manage a team of accounting professionals capable of driving successful business decisions to grow and scale Envoy Global.
To apply for this role, you should possess the following skills, experience and qualifications:
Minimum of 10-12+ years of experience managing the monthly close and financial reporting process, working with finance operations (AR/AP), cash management, budgeting, tax, and leading a team.
BS/MS Degree in Accounting, CPA required, MBA is a plus.
Audit experience within a public accounting firm plus career progression of accounting positions within a company with increasing leadership responsibilities is strongly desired.
Experience within Global Accounting, M&A experience, and Financial system implementations/improvements is a plus; private equity backed company experience is strongly desired.
Familiarity with Sage Intacct a plus, but not required.
Advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to continuously identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency.
Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
A highly collaborative and customer service-oriented spirit; able to build strong relationships.

SALARY
USD $185,000 Min – USD $200,000 Max OTE
