Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Controller is responsible for driving high quality financial reporting and accounting practices combined with a strong control environment; playing a pivotal role in supporting the Finance Manager to achieve financial objectives across controllership, compliance excellence and business partnering. The role provides the opportunity to work with diverse cross-functional teams in the wider Collins Aerospace and RTX team; providing assurance in financial reporting to achieve stated objectives and form part of the decision-making process.Primary responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end financial reporting process, including preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Manage treasury and cashflow requirements.
• Ensure compliance with internal control and corporate policies in a SOX environment.
• Develop and maintain robust financial processes, controls and systems.
• Provide coaching support for a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Support commercial insight to ensure alignment to short- and long-term strategic goals.

Skills and experience to support your success in this role:

Essential

• Well-developed clear and concise communications skills (both verbally and written)
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and work with diverse teams
• Strong technical accounting and internal controls knowledge and experience (SOX compliance / US GAAP and IFRS highly desirable)
• CA/CPA qualified

Desirable

• Big 4 or audit/assurance experience
• Treasury / cash management experience
• SAP knowledge or experience
• Defense or project accounting background
• Experience working in a global matrixed organization
• Excellent time management skills.

Successful candidates must hold and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance at minimum NV1. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva as well as be eligible to be certified in compliance against ITAR technology access requirements.
