Financial Controller

IBM Accounting is an integral part of IBM covering every geography and business unit. We are considered a key player in driving the success of our company and act as a strategic financial advisor to the business presenting the “knowledge behind the numbers”.

Your Role and Responsibilities
At the IBM office in Amsterdam an exciting position has become available for a financial controller. You will be a key player in a professional and international accounting team which operates in an interesting dynamic and evolving environment. You will work with various local and global teams across the IBM organization such as tax legal treasury and corporate headquarters accounting. As a financial controller you will be responsible for the reporting of a number of Dutch IBM entities.

Your responsibilities will amongst others include:

• Preparation of complex IFRS and Dutch GAAP financial statements and various other reporting.
• Managing audits together with our external auditors
• Assessment and documentation of complex accounting topics.
• Act as a subject matter expert and advise internal stakeholders throughout projects.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Successful Candidates will Possess:

• A minimum of four years of public accounting experience or equivalent years of non-public accounting experience.
• Excellent Dutch GAAP and IFRS accounting skills.
• Strong analytical skills structured thinking and an eye for detail.
• Hands on mentality and enjoy working in a team environment.
• Fluent in English.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Affinity with Dutch corporate and tax law.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills and good general IT skills.
• Fluent in Dutch
