Job Description

If you're interested in pursuing a career in the world of digital assets, then come and join our finance team in Jersey where you will work alongside the Finance Director and Management Accountant and become an integral part of the team.

Responsibilities of the role include;

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and accompanying reporting for senior management
• Prepare consolidated and standalone YE financial statements and, alongside the Finance Director, lead the annual audit process for the Elwood group
• Review of payroll for staff in multiple jurisdictions
• Working with Elwood’s Tax Director and external tax advisers to prepare tax filings and ensure compliance with all necessary tax legislation
• Review and approval of vendor payments
• Providing technical oversight to the Management Accountant where necessary
• Assisting with finance related queries from other departments within the business

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

Required

• A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) and 5+ years PQE
• Experience of preparing consolidated financial statements at a group level and standalone financial statements for limited companies and partnerships
• Understanding of transfer pricing arrangements
• Highly proficient with MS Excel
• Willingness to support and assist junior team members
• Relevant experience in a similar role

Desirable

• Experience of preparing financial statements for entities in various jurisdictions – Jersey, UK, Singapore and USA
• Knowledge of payroll and filing requirements for entities in the above jurisdictions
• Understanding of JFSC and FCA reporting requirements for regulated entities
• Previous use of NetSuite accounting software
