What we’re looking for:
Cross River’s Financial Crimes Compliance (FCC) team’s role is to ensure that our business is always consistent with current regulations and remains within Cross River’s risk appetite. As part of the FCC team you will play a key role. The Financial Crimes Compliance Manager will assist in all aspects of Program Management including Quality Assurance, Risk Assessments, development of Program metrics and reporting, as well as other program projects and initiatives.
Program Execution is a critical component to support FCC through it’s growth and expansion initiatives. These will include, but are not limited to:
- Oversight of key projects such as metrics and reporting enhancements, training plan and system/vendor implementations (e.g. transaction monitoring, adverse media)
- Enhancing the Quality Assurance Program
- Assist in the management of BSA/AML components of growth and expansion initiatives
- Exam and audit liaison, serving as a point of contact for requests, ensuring deliverables are tracked, supporting documentation is collated and close out packets are complete
Responsibilities:
- Enhance the QA program and execute testing
- Coordinate execution of the BSA/AML and OFAC Risk Assessments
- Develop/Enhance Program level metrics and reporting
- Manage FCC engagement in strategic projects, expansion areas and growth targets
- Serve in a project management capacity where required to execute FCC deliverables
- Assist with exam and audit management with internal audit, legal, regulators and other key stakeholders (as appropriate) to ensure deliverables/requests for information are tracked and supporting documentation to close out observations is timely and complete. Including ensuring consistency across responses.
- Complete all assigned training and where relevant complete ongoing education such as webinars or conferences to stay abreast of regulatory changes and the regulatory environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 4-6 years of BSA/AML compliance experience; experience working for financial institutions or highly regulated industry and/or law enforcement and investigations preferred
- Extensive knowledge of BSA and AML laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the USA Patriot Act and OFAC requirements
- Knowledge of enhanced due diligence matters, financial fraud and applicable state and federal laws, payments, MSBs, correspondent banking and complex customer types and product offerings
- Experience in project management or program execution preferred
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task, inclusive of ability to plan, organize and prioritize workloads
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and work on own initiative, strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft SharePoint
