Job Summary:

The Financial Data Analyst will be responsible for delivering first-class analytics, manage complex financial data, build processes and implement tools to deliver insightful information to the executive management team. This is an opportunity to engage with many facets of the company’s data and leverage strong technical skills to demonstrate the power of analytics. A successful candidate in this role has intellectual curiosity, a thirst for knowledge, and a willingness to challenge the status quo in order to improve results. The right candidate has a desire to convert data into insight and a flair for visualization when presenting financial analysis and the resulting recommendations.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain data flow & integrity between internal systems and reporting/BI software
  • Integrate numerous data sources in Snowflake to create reports and dashboards in Power BI or other BI software
  • Assist in the development, selection, building of new reporting capabilities & KPIs
  • Assist coworkers in learning reporting and planning software
  • Maintain accesses/security to reporting and planning tools
  • Analyze revenue and volumes by customer, market, and product to proactively identify trends, highlight risks/opportunities, and develop well-informed revenue forecasts
  • Analyze data and look for business growth or savings opportunities
  • Communicate analytical findings to company leadership in a crisp and concise manner
  • Administer planning tools and models to assist in the creation of annual budgets, monthly forecasts and long-range strategic plans for supported functions
  • Meet with segment and business leaders to discuss and forecast business needs
  • Accept ownership and accountability of position responsibilities and strive to deliver results for stakeholders that establish high standards, credibility and quality performance
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4-year college degree from an accredited university/college
  • Exceptional SQL and data manipulation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in analytic tools like Power BI, Looker, or Tableau
  • Ability to work independently and deliver accurate results under tight timelines
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or similar
  • Strong analytical mind and quantitative skillset is required
  • 2+ years of combined experience in data aggregation and analysis using SQL. A background in FP&A, Business Intelligence, Sales Ops, corporate strategy or management consulting, preferred.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, NetSuite, planning tools and Salesforce, preferred.
  • Detail oriented, able to validate the accuracy of one's own deliverables and produce reliable analysis.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate remotely via phone, chat, or virtual meeting like Zoom.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changes.
  • Enjoys working both independently and in groups, will collaborate with team members to achieve departmental and business goals.

Salary range: $75,000-$80,0000 based off of experience
