Financial Data Analyst (Special Investigations Unit)

Position Purpose:

• This position is responsible for the financial data analytic needs of the enterprise shared services department, Special Investigations Unit (SIU). The position will track and document the SIU retrospective recoveries, accessing the various claims systems and tools. In addition, analyzing accuracy of entries and output used to generate reports and interpret financial data for the department.

In this Financial Data Analyst II role, you will:

• Develop presentations for SIU Investigators
• Enter financial information into the case management tool timely and ensure it has been recorded accurately
• Identify trends in financial recoveries, errors in entries, etc.
• Support team initiatives through financial data analysis of the various systems
• Manage the SIU Recovery mailbox where questions and hardcopy checks are received.
• Update the case tracking management tool with financials when hardcopy checks/EFT payments are received and uploading supporting documents.
• Track claims offset projects and update case management tool adding financials and uploading supporting documents.
• Updating case management tool with follow up activities until full payment received or the provider is no longer actively billing.
• Partner cross-functionally with peers, other team members, and market associates.
• Improve processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness, making decisions on or developing solutions on complex problems.
• Cross train and assist in area training as requested by department management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred experience:

• Analyzing data and reporting
• Creating reports using Excel
• Familiar with Managed Care Organizations Claims Processing Systems
• Handling a high degree of confidential and sensitive information

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of statistical or data analysis experience.
• Experience with financial analysis focused on month end close, government reporting, and financial forecasting. General knowledge of analysis tools, SQL, and Microsoft Applications.

Note: *Applicants for this job have the flexibility to work remote from home anywhere in the Continental United States. However, due to the needs of the business, ideal schedule is CST or EST time zones and NY City, Clayton, MO, or Tampa, FL locations preferred.

Pay Range: $54,000.00 - $97,100.00 per year
