Job Summary
In this intern position, you will play a pivotal role on the finance data team. Report writing, troubleshooting ETL job failures, query writing, and shaping the future of everyday operations through innovative solutions are only a few of the responsibilities of this role. You will gain valuable insight into the day-to-day financial operations of one of the nation’s best fintech employers (see Glassdoor). You should be willing to come with questions, accept a steep learning curve, and collaborate with other parts of WebBank’s finance team.
Primary Responsibilities
You Will:
• Write SQL views to aggregate data for treasury and accounting teams.
• Write SQL reconciliation scripts to verify data submitted to us by our partners.
• Generate ad-hoc reports per request.
• Assist in troubleshooting ETL process failures. And work requests by all levels of the finance team.
• Assist in testing of queries and scripts pre-production.
• Help to shape process workflow testing, validation, and deployment procedures.
Qualifications
You Have:
• One year or less until graduation in a bachelor’s program.
• Advanced Excel and SQL skills.
• MS Office software skills are required.
• Must be organized and can multi-task.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Strong interpersonal skills. Must be comfortable working within a team environment.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to communicate effectively across a broad base including internal customers, external customers, and executive management.
• An innovative mind, always looking for improvements and ways to further automation and reconciliation processes.
Even Better:
• Any background or knowledge in tableau preferred.
• Python, VBA, and other coding knowledge is preferred.
