As a Department Analyst I, you will function as a primary resource for operating units regarding the collection of data, analysis and evaluation of operational resources, services, programs, systems, budgets and procedures. You will prepare projections, burn rates, financial reports, effort analysis and accounting problem resolution on the postwar side. Caregiver will work with other Department Analysts, Department Managers and the Admin Director as well as Principal Investigators and lab personnel, and support personnel.
This caregiver will work on the Cardiovascular and Metabolic Sciences team in the Learner Research Institute. This position is 100% accounting and finance based and will include quantitative work.
This position will be hybrid with a mix of on-site and remote work.
The ideal caregiver is someone who:
-Is familiar with the use of Oracle software (preferred).
-Has a BA/BS in Business Administration with an emphasis on Finance and Accounting.
-Is customer service oriented.
-Is proficient in math.
-Has organizational and multitasking skills.
-Has a good attitude and good sense of humor.
There is ongoing training in both live, virtual and recorded media. Past analysts have worked their way up from analyst to department manager, department administrator to Director. Thus there are opportunities and pathways for professional development.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Run regular payroll and monthly project reports out of Oracle
- Track monthly expenses
- Research and solve payment issues
- Analyzes and evaluates operational and financial functions of administrative and operational units.
- Analyzes departmental resources, services, systems, budgets and programs.
- Prepares reports based on analysis.
- Conducts basic statistical analysis and evaluation of unit services and performance.
- Identifies program or service strengths, weaknesses, and financial impact.
- Identifies opportunities for service and program improvement.
- Develops special reports and recommendations.
- Assists with the development of operational plans, procedures and systems.
- Reviews and evaluates current procedures and systems and develops recommendations for improvement.
- Maintains awareness of and complies with various regulatory guidelines ( JCAHO, FDA, HIPAA, OSHA, etc.).
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Care Administration or related field.
Certifications:
- None required.
Complexity of Work:
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Excellent analytical, communication and customer service skills.
Work Experience:
- One year of statistical analysis experience, or five years of relevant experience in a health care setting.
- Offset: High School diploma/GED and five years of experience.
- Offset: Associate's degree and three years of experience.
- Offset: Master's degree may substitute for experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Finance or Accounting experience
- Oracle experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
