Position Title: Financial Institutions Ratings

Summary/Overview:

KBRA (Kroll Bond Rating Agency, LLC) is seeking a Financial Institutions ratings professional to join our growing Financial Institutions team.  This role will be exposed to a variety of tasks with the ultimate goal of analyzing financial institutions, including banks and non-bank financial companies.  Position is based out of our New York office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial statements of Banks and non-bank financial institutions for rating recommendations.
• Develop spreadsheets and analytical materials to support the ratings process
• Create competitive analysis reports to be utilized at rating committees for comparative market purposes.
• Write research reports and press releases on companies and industries for publication on KBRA’s website.
• Present at credit committees and participate in external management meetings.

Successful candidates will possess the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or related mathematical field.
• Two (2) or more years of experience with financial statements preferred
• Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills are essential
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced EXCEL skills; knowledge of Bloomberg is most helpful.
• Ability to work as part of a team and across disciplines in a challenging and dynamic environment.
• Strong interest and/or relevant experience in ratings and/or the banking sector.
• Pursuit of CFA designation

Salary Range:

The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000 to $90,000. Offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience, skills, geography, and other job-related factors.
