Summary
The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is US Citizens and legal US residents in the local commuting area. Legal US residents must possess a social security number and be citizens of a NATO country, except for the host country of Germany.
This position is located at Stars and Stripes European Headquarters, Kaiserslautern, Germany.

- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier I background investigation.
Qualifications
Must possess advanced Excel skills. Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives. Effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner. Strong ability to multi-task, self-starting personality with an even disposition to work well under pressure, and meet deadlines. Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary. Must be able to maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions. Energetic and friendly team player with a passion for the highest level of customer service.
Highly Qualifying Criteria: Five years experience as a supervisor of an accounting operation.
Experience with Nonappropriated Funds accounting and budgeting practices
Experience with financial operations of the military.
Candidates possessing the highly qualifying criteria will be referred to the hiring official first.
Education
An accredited accounting or finance college degree, which includes either a minimum of 18 hours of accounting and 6 hours of business law or a business or a professional accounting certification (i.e. Certified Public Accountant).
