Financial Modeling Specialist
Job Description
Position Goals:
Performs treasury functions to assist the Financial Modeling Officer, and other treasury team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Financial Modeling Officer with the asset and liability modeling process including:
- Ensure the asset liability model (ALM) parameters, model upgrades, chart of accounts, and other model assumptions are maintained and updated.
- Ensure the ALM results are reasonable based on the rate environment.
- Support internal and external model validation efforts as well as responding to regulatory inquires.
- Conduct analysis of actual results vs plan or simulations.
- Complete the implementation and documentation of asset liability model updates.
- Use mathematics and statistics to measure, model, and predict deposit and loan behaviors of the customer base which would allow for better pricing and product decisions.
- Perform ad-hoc research across a variety of deposit and loan data sets.
- Assist in the monthly and quarterly key report production and review including specific model reports.
- Partner with the Financial Modeling Officer to complete interest rate simulation result analysis and strategy recommendations.
- Work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Special projects defined by Financial Modeling Officer.
Position Requirements:
Education - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, management, or a related field.
Experience - None.
Other - None.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with various software (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Power BI, Azure, etc.).
