What you need to know about the role:

The Finance Operations Analyst role will be part of North America CoE under PayPal, Inc FP&A team, ensuring seamless step-by-step process from Procure to Invoice.

Meet our team-

Responsible for opening PO's in adherence to Corp policy. Work closely with BU's for an accurate forecast of PO's and create/update Business records accordingly. Work with Finance to ensure an accurate month-end close and forecast.

Job Description:

The Finance Operations Analyst will be a key part of the Finance & Business team.

Your way to impact:

You will have 3 areas of focus - compliance, planning and execution. You will partner with different BUs to understand requirements, deadlines and processes. You will assist in budget management, onboarding new vendors as well as securing internal approvals for groups such as legal and sourcing as well as submit contracts to legal for approval.

Your day to day:

Compliance:• Partner with BU to understand requirements and deadlines • Partner with Legal, Procurement, CW Team to understand their requirements and processes• Partner with AP team to understand process and tools for invoicing

Planning: • Assist in budget management activities within the OPEX team, including monthly forecasting and day to day expense tracking.• Populate records with forecasted spend and adjust as needed• Onboard new vendors - submit request to Supplier Team, manage approval process, request MSA with legal, SOW finalization, open PO, and train on Supplier Portal and invoicing process • Obtain all required contracts to submit to legal for approval • Support improvements to processes and systems to streamline efficiency.

Execution: • Secure internal approvals for legal, Ariba, Sourcing• Submit contracts to Legal for approval and signatures via Docusign• Submit PO request in Ariba• Update EMT with PO information

Close:• Work with BU to ensure that Finance has all the relevant information needed for month-end close and to provide backup documentation• Invoice reconciliation with vendors as needed• Close POs in Ariba and work with Finance to ensure accrual releases and backup, if appropriate• Change PO Owners due to re-org or attrition• Remind teams to approve invoices and PO in a timely manner

The individual will need to be a self-starter, have an inquiring mind, a proactive nature, business acumen and a passion for creative problem solving.• The ideal candidate will be able to do more than merely report on the metrics or track spend. They will be able to collaborate and influence across the PayPal organization

What do you need to bring:

  • Basic knowledge in finance and accounting operations
  • Work collaboratively with Finance and Business Teams
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Detail oriented and experience working closely with Finance and accounting teams to ensure controls during close
  • Experience working and problem solving independently, organizing workload and priorities and completing tasks on time
  • Experience with Financial tools/Systems
  • Experience with Excel
