Financial Operations Intern

We are looking for a full-time intern to participate in the invoicing process as a valued member of the financial operations team. You will be working on revenue reconciliations, 3rd party vendor audits, and dispute resolution. Internship Details:
- Duration: June 5, 2023 through July 28, 2023
- This internship is paid
- Expected hours per week: 35-40
- The summer 2023 internship will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate HQ office in downtown Austin, Texas
- Interns will be expected to work in-office 2-3 days per week
What you’ll be doing:
- You’ll be provided with a mentor within the invoicing team to support your growth and learning.
- You’ll have the opportunity to learn about accounts receivable best practices, financial reporting and analytics, and ultimately help drive business value.
- You’ll be working with other interns and be assigned a project. This project will be of your choosing to ensure that interests and skill set align with the right team & scope to get the most impact!
- You’ll be able to explore different areas inside financial operations but also interact with other members from different groups such as sales, payment operations, clients operations, and worker success.
What you should have:
- Current Junior or Senior pursuing a finance or accounting degree
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent computer skills (e.g. Google Sheets, ability to learn new systems, etc.)
- Familiarity with GAAP
- High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities.
- You enjoy working with others and being part of a team.
- Basic communication skills — with both a technical & non-technical audience.
Essential Job Functions:
- Regular, on-time attendance
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to use office equipment such as a computer, copier and telephone
- Ability to use office computer programs such as e-mail, Google Docs, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Occasionally remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
