Financial Operations Intern (3 Positions: 2 Year-Round & 1 Summer 2023)

Job Summary:

The Financial Operations Intern will provide support to Gavilon's Grain and Feed Ingredients groups by assisting Trade Assistants, Traders, Supervisors, and Managers with system updates, accounts payable activity, accounts receivable, data entry, and invoicing functions. Additionally, the Financial Operations Intern will gain valuable customer service and accounting related experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Utilize multiple systems to manage commodity shipments
• Learn Oracle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable modules
• Utilize workflow and automation software to manage documents
• Process outgoing invoices to customers via mail
• Learn multiple applications within Microsoft Share point
• Assist with Master Data / Clean Data project

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:

• Minimum of two years college-level coursework, and/or an applicable trade school program, working towards a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or Finance is required
• Ability to effectively work as part of a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly-motivated team with a strong attention to detail
• Solid analytical, organizational, time-management, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications - particularly Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week(for year-round positions)
• Summer internship will be full-time hours

Special Demands:

• Will work in an open-concept office environment requiring prolonged periods of sitting and the ability to focus amidst surrounding activity
• Position requires operation of a computer and other standard office equipment (copier, calculator, printer)
