Job Description

The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting business decisions through financial forecasting and modeling, providing insights that help drive strategic planning and operational efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 0-3 years of experience who is eager to develop their skills in financial analysis and corporate finance in a flexible, remote or hybrid work environment.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and maintain financial dashboards and reports, analyzing data trends to recommend actionable solutions.

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.

  • Perform variance analysis, identifying key trends and providing insights to management.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and assumptions for accurate financial projections.

  • Effectively communicate data findings and insights to department leaders.

  • Support the preparation of internal and external financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

  • Help drive process improvements in collaboration with operational leadership.

  • Assist business owners in meeting budget targets and complying with financial policies.

  • Participate in ad-hoc analyses and special projects to support strategic business decisions.

  • Track and monitor key financial metrics to improve overall financial performance.

 

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting or related field.

  • 0-3 years of experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, FP&A, or a related finance role.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and/or data analysis.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Working knowledge of the principles of financial statements, ratio analysis and trend analysis

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with planning software (e.g. Adaptive, Hyperion, NSPB, etc)

  • Local to the Nashville area is a big plus
