Ookla is looking for an FP&A Analyst to join our growing finance team. This role will play a pivotal role for Ookla as it continues its organic growth, investment in new business, and growth through acquisitions. Responsibilities will include financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting, and assisting in the monthly accounting close. The Analyst will take a front seat approach to designing reports that inform management on key performance indicators, "KPIs", and support strategic decision-making. This position offers a unique opportunity to sit within a business in the newly created Connectivity Division of Ziff Davis, reporting into the SVP of Finance, and offers unparalleled access to the managers and senior management team.

Types of projects you might work on during the first 90 days
  • Analyze financial data and create financial models to forecast future performance.
  • Develop financial reports, dashboards, and other analytical tools to provide insights to senior management.
  • Provide budget versus actual variance explanations and other corporate reporting requirements
  • Partner with sales and sales operations to ensure the Company properly recognizes revenue
  • Design and prepare key performance indicators to enable better visibility of business operations by management
  • Prepare, review and analyze sales incentive payments, statements and supporting reports
  • Creation of revenue and cost models to help managers make business decisions on new initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2+ years working in Financial Planning & Analysis, preferably in a corporate environment
  • Exceptional modeling and forecasting ability
  • Expert in Excel and other Microsoft Office software
  • Pride in accuracy and attention to detail
  • Willing to work hard until we get it right
  • High level of organizational skills, despite changing inputs and priorities
  • Experience with financial accounting systems and CRM (e.g., Oracle Fusion, Salesforce) is a plus

Salary Disclosure
As required by applicable Pay Transparency laws, Ookla provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The base pay for this position ranges from $80,000 /year up to $110,000 /year.
