Financial Planning & Analysis Manager
Job Description
Bellwether Asset Management, Inc. is seeking an individual with a FP&A background to assist the portfolio management team of a large commercial real estate platform. This individual would play an integral role to the entire real estate team, by providing a bridge between asset-level analytics and fund-level performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Forecast fund-level performance and analyze commercial real estate platform economics
- Actively manage critical aspects of each fund’s investment portfolio, such as optimal hold periods and exit strategies
- Aggregate data and share key observations and trends with senior management in a sophisticated, concise fashion. This includes maintaining and building-out fund models, updating returns, and tracking liquidity, distributions, fees, promotes.
- Contribute to marketing, fundraising, and client relation efforts by providing as-needed information on fund performance, forecasted results, distribution timing, and other important data points
- Assist with the build-out of an automated dashboard to provide respective analysis for various stakeholders
- Perform additional ad-hoc analysis for the portfolio management team
- Oversee and help mentor junior associates and analysts within the portfolio management team; Review all work-product before going to client
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skillsÂ
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in commercial real estate or investment industry
- Advanced skills in Excel
- Dynamic team player with strong integrity, a high degree of professionalism and the ability to succeed in an entrepreneurial environment including:
- Good interpersonal, communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Excessive attention to detail, outstanding initiative, an eagerness to learn with a strong work ethic
- Completion of a high level of work within tight timeframes, successfully manages competing deadlines
- Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and work with limited direct guidance
- A bachelor's degree is required
- Desire to work as part of a small, highly entrepreneurial team
Base Salary: $120,000 - $130,000Â

BWAM’s platform helps provide greater efficiency and functionality through the following areas:
- Asset-level analytics: Providing quantitative and qualitative investment- and portfolio-level performance reports by consolidating and analyzing monthly operating statements produced by operating partners to track and monitor performance against initial underwriting;
- Active Asset Management Support: The team works closely with Acquisition Teams to help monitor all strategic and joint-venture operating partners on a day-to-day basis. Responsibilities include weekly leasing calls, monthly operational reviews, annual budget and business plan reviews and financial analysis;
- Investment and Fund-level Reforecasting: BWAM is responsible for creating proprietary investment-level valuation models for the portfolio to enhance our ability to reforecast investment-and fund-level performance on a routine basis.
