Financial Planning Analyst

Formula.Monks Colombia is seeking aFinancial Planning Analystwith a focus on Financial Planning and Analysis(FP&A). If you are a finance professional with strong analytical skills and a knack for financial modeling, we’d like to meet you.

About the role

The FP&A team supports the business in making data-driving decisions and supporting financial health. We provide visibility on business performance and work closely with various business partners linking corporate strategy to execution. We advise on the most effective ways to utilize resources as we identify operational and financial risks, opportunities for efficiency, savings, and investments.

Responsibilities:

• Strong Financial Analytics:conduct analysis of revenue behavior and optimization, gross margin performance, cost and expense control and overall P&L analysis.
• Planning & ForecastingWork on the planning cycle, including annual budgeting, monthly outlooks and quarterly forecasts, understanding the variances of each plan (variations of actuals vs projections).
• Management Report for data-driving decisions:Monthly closure participation and multi-demensional reporting. Pro-actively looking for opportunities and optimizations. Creating cohesive narrative and present data in a simple and clear manner.
• Business Partnering:work closely with the different stakeholders inside the company to ensure strategy plans and financial health while working in initiatives and financial planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related fields.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or FP&A areas.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English.
• Expert proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in other MS Office applications and experience with Google suite
• Intermediate proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Knowledge of ERP systems such as NetSuite is a nice-to-have.
• Located at Bogotá to go to our office some days in the workweek, as needed.
• Intermediate english level (B1)
• US Visa
• Demonstrate both independent and collaborative work abilities in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Takes initiatives and strives for ongoing process improvement and efficiency identification.
