About the role:

State Street's Risk Analytics platform is a web based application providing a full suite of analytics, which give clients insight into the risks and performance of their investment portfolios. Supporting all asset classes, the platform computes analytics such as: stress testing, value at risk (VaR), position specific analytics for derivatives (delta, gamma, vega etc.) and fixed income characteristics such as duration and convexity. The reporting offering also includes Liquidity and ESG indicators.

Reporting to the Vice President of Regulatory and Industry Standard Risk Solutions, the chosen candidate will be part of the team working closely on clients' risk reporting and financial analysis requirements. He/She will collaborate with the financial engineering teams, technical support teams, development teams and operations teams to maintain and design a number of regulatory products over time. He/She will leverage his/her experience and knowledge to advance the capabilities of our regulatory risk solutions.

This role is a hybrid work model with 2/3 days in the office per week (to be agreed with manager), which you can perform in our offices in Krakow and Gdansk. Working hours: 10 AM - 6 PM (during the initial training period, to allow for greater amount of overlapping hours with the Toronto office, it may be required to work 11 AM - 7 PM).

Your new role

As a Product Manager you will:

  • Maintain and develop existing product solutions of regulatory nature, with focus on Leverage and Exposure, such as AIFMD, UCITS, SEC derivative Rules, Nport, FormPF and "Names Rule" etc
  • Keep himself/herself up to date with the ongoing changes on the various regulatory fronts: Proactiveness is paramount in order to keep the high value of existing products and seek opportunities for new ideas to enhance our regulatory and analytics offering.
  • Act as the reference point for the operations team servicing the clients to whom these products have been sold. Provide close guidance and build solid partnerships.
  • Work with the available in-house rule building tools in order to carry out the above activities without the need of the assistance of the software developers.
  • Gather requirements from clients, business users and subject matter experts.
  • Write detailed business specs to streamline existing processes and develop new features
  • Candidate will be expected to be a self-starter, highly motivated with a strong financial regulatory background and the ability to run and manage projects in isolation

What we value

Skills and Experience:

  • Min 3-4 years' experience in a role exposed to the regulatory needs of Investment Funds and Insurance Portfolio Managers.
  • Experience working with a financial, accounting or data platform.
  • Experience with building rules based logics using basic coding
  • Strong quantitative finance expertise: Market risk & analytics, VaR, stress testing, fixed income analytics (duration, convexity etc), OTC derivatives pricing models
  • Strong IT skills:
    • SQL, Oracle or Snowflake and relational database management systems
    • Basic experience with any coding language
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Office
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects to completion and work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills - ability to synthesize complex technical information and deliver updates to senior management, clients and other stake holders succinctly
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Innovative in identifying product direction and opportunities
  • CFA, CQF, FRM, CIPM or PRMIA an advantage
  • Knowledge of the regulations like AIFMD, UCITS, SEC derivative Rules, Nport, FormPF and "Names Rule" an advantage
  • Experience with Agile software development an advantage

Level of Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/ Mathematics/ Economics or equivalent
