Financial Reporting and Accounting Manager

Position Overview:

Solid Power is seeking a Financial Reporting and Accounting Manager to join our talented team working to revolutionize the battery industry through the development of next generation, all solid‐state rechargeable batteries. Solid Power is a dynamic, fast‐paced, collaborative, and innovative team environment. This newly created role will be a key resource on the team who will serve as an integral participant in the financial reporting process and month-end close processes. The position presents an exciting opportunity to provide technical expertise, improve the reporting process, and to help build our team. The right candidate for this roll has impeccable attention to detail, a positive attitude, and can work both collaboratively and independently. This position will report to the Assistant Controller and work closely with the Assistant Controller and Corporate Controller to fulfill the company’s internal and external financial reporting and close responsibilities.

Job Duties:

• Manage financial reporting for Forms 10-Q and 10-K, SOX, and SEC compliance processes
• Assist with requests from independent auditors for the annual audit and quarterly reviews
• Mentor and oversee the Staff Accountant(s) to foster a creative and collaborative work environment
• Manage the consolidation process including the preparation of face financial statements, consolidation, and footnote schedules / supporting calculations
• Manage the GL close process, to include review of account reconciliations, routine JEs, oversight of Accounts Receivable and related Revenue Recognition and Fixed Assets
• Manage and update SOX documentation for the Financial Reporting process and certain GL close processes
• Working collaboratively with transactional accounting team
• Assist with financial accounting research and technical support in the evaluation, selection and implementation of the company’s accounting practices
• Assist with internal and external audit requests

Qualifications/Requirements:

• BS/BA in Accounting Required
• CPA or other relevant professional certification is required
• Minimum 4-6+ years of relevant managerial and financial reporting experience, public accounting experience is strongly preferred
• Understanding and applicable experience applying U.S. GAAP
• Exceptional attitude, attention to detail, and proven ability to work within a team
• Excellent time management, prioritization, communication, and follow-up skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional team members and with external partners
• Works within and meets all deadlines while executing on multiple deliverables
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Motivated by a dynamic environment and the ability to build financial reporting function from ground up

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000
