Job Summary

The Financial Reporting and Data Analyst works within RS Finance & Actuarial group to (1) build and operationalize reporting which informs and supports effective decision making (2) Optimize and automate tools and processes utilized to generate reporting and analytics, and (3) own the creation and maintenance of the data necessary to support effective recordkeeping, contract compliance, and fee collection for Group Annuity plans. In addition, this role will be responsible for performing the ad-hoc analysis necessary to effectively support strategic decision making related to pricing and profitability management.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Develop and prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports.
• Drive process improvement through optimization of people and process while leveraging existing software and reporting systems where available vs. building on your own.
• Develop and present ad-hoc analysis when and where needed for peers, RS leadership and/or enterprise leadership.
• Complete Data Analysis/scrubbing/aggregation on data extracts to create reports suitable for dissemination.
• Recordkeeping Systems maintenance including creation of new data along with maintenance of existing and quality checking.
• Prepare and manage internal & customer facing documentation for interest rate changes.
• Act as an internal SME resource within the finance area and across the RS division, find creative solutions to both ongoing and one-time issues, and assist in implementation of those solutions.
• In addition to day-to-day tasks and optimization, observing and documenting opportunities for collaborative process improvement and then participating in implementation projects.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Math or other Business field
• 1-2 years of experience working with a Finance division and/or Retirement Services industry
• Familiarity with Omni or similar Recordkeeping system a plus
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Good attention to detail
• Forward thinking
• Ability to work both independently and with a team
• Ability to cultivate strong working relationships with internal contacts
• Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background

Salary Band: 04B

This selected candidate will be expected to work Hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, WI, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
