The Opportunity:

LifeScan is searching for a Financial Reporting Manager who will be reporting to the Finance Compliance Manager. This position will be hybrid and based in Malvern, PA.

About the role:

LifeScan is searching for a Financial Reporting Manager to join the Global Accounting Controlling Team. This position is a key leader within the professional accounting organization and is responsible for a wide range of financial reporting, technical accounting, and finance transformation activities. The role frequently supervises third parties engaged to support specific project needs.

Key responsibilities will include:

Global Statutory Financial Reporting

  • Prepare and coordinate all statutory financial reporting and audit deliverables for approximately 20 foreign entities.
  • Ensure various third-party support teams are fully aligned at each juncture in the process.
  • Provide varying levels of accounting, financial reporting, and audit support to each entity.
  • Identify obstacles and proactively resolve to ensure filing deadlines are met timely.

Lease Accounting

  • Act as the Administrator of the Visual Lease accounting software.
  • Ensure Visual Lease and general ledger continuously remain synched.
  • Develop quarterly incremental borrowing rates for use within lease calculations.
  • Ensure a robust suite of internal controls addressing lease accuracy and completeness are operating effectively.
  • Review new contracts for embedded lease considerations.

Finance Transformation Other Projects

  • Work closely with the finance and technical teams to drive process and system improvements that will enable the finance organization to scale and improve in terms of efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Plan and allocate sufficient resources to transformative initiatives, providing priority based on changing functional needs, resource capacity, risk exposure, and interdependencies.
  • Facilitate discussion of business process changes with cross-functional business partners.
  • Leverage best practices, industry standards, methodologies, and frameworks to define and execute on the transformation vision and strategy.
  • Work directly with external stakeholders - leading the discussion and resolution of such matters.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications and Skills:

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in accounting is required. CPA preferred, but not required.You'll also have a minimum of 4 years of audit and/or financial reporting experience, ideally in public accounting.

You will bring:

  • CPA (preferred but not required).
  • A minimum of 4 years of audit and/or financial reporting experience is required.
  • Workiva software experience (preferred but not required).
  • Possesses strong project management and technical accounting skills.
  • Demonstrates an ability to manage global third parties effectively.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and tactical execution skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Visual Lease accounting software experience (preferred but not required).
  • Experience with other software solutions like Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau (preferred but not required)
