Financial Reporting Manager

Forbes is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to join our Finance department. This is a highly visible role that reports directly to the Sr. Manager, Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting. This role has the primary responsibility to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial reporting processes. 

Responsibilities:

• Manage timely and accurate financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders in accordance with US GAAP (i.e., footnote support schedules, tie outs and disclosure checklists)
• Distribute and maintain filing calendar.
• Responsible for the consolidation of financials from multiple legal entities, as well as statement of cash flow preparation.
• Perform review and analyze financial statement submissions from various subsidiaries.
• Collaborate with various internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial information and disclosures.
• Perform goodwill and long-lived assets impairment testing, including collaboration with valuation specialists, if needed.
• Calculate quarterly stock compensation and related footnote disclosures.
• Perform SAB 99 analysis quarterly to assess materiality of any errors identified.
• Prepare annual employee benefit plan financial statements in conjunction with Human Resources.
• Manage internal controls over financial reporting and update process memos.
• Work on other ad-hoc projects as needed.

The ideal candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience, public accounting experience a plus.
• CPA required.
• Media experience a plus.
• Experience with Workiva (or similar) required.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strict attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP a plus.
• Enthusiastic team player.
• High proficiency in MS Excel.

The annual base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $125,000
