We are looking for Financial Reporting Manager to join our Finance team.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Prepares consolidations, financial statements in accordance with GAAP, disclosures and financial exhibits
  • Prepares financial reports (i.e. Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow statements) for management, lenders and investors
  • Manage monthly consolidation and elimination process
  • Manage Global Chart of Accounts
  • Prepares supporting schedules, reconciliations and supporting package for all reports
  • Key contributor and liaison between Company and outside accounting firm for the annual audit matters
  • In-depth technical proficiency of GAAP Codification. Research, analyze and apply changing Codification and support position through a written memo.
  • Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
  • Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting periodic internal audits as needed
  • Implement procedures to reduce costs, and discrepancies and improve efficiencies and profitability of the company
  • Assist senior management in the execution of special projects
  • Hire, train and retain competent accounting team members
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions

Education and/or Experience:

  • BS in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • Advanced degree, CPA and/or MBA is preferred.
  • 6-8 years of progressive experience in a management role with at least 3 direct reports
  • Thorough current knowledge of current GAAP pronouncements
  • Applicant must have deep operational knowledge of all accounting processes within the retail (multi-location) or similar industry
  • Applicant must have experience working in multi-currency environments

Organizational Relationships

  • Reports to the Assistant Controller
  • Key member of the Finance/Accounting team
  • This position has 3-4 direct reports
  • Liase with local International Team
