Financial Reporting Staff Accountant

Sinclair Broadcast Group's Corporate Accounting department is seeking a Financial Reporting Staff Accountant!

Responsibilities:

• Assist team with preparation of SEC filings, involving quarterly and annual financial reports, proxy statements, 401(K) statements and other regulatory filings, as necessary
• Prepare various schedules and variance analysis to be used by management, the board of directors and independent auditors
• Preparation of monthly/quarterly close schedules
• Performance of controls around financial reporting activities

Requirements:

• At least 1-3 years of experience
• Experience with and understanding of SEC filings (i.e. 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.) is a plus
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• CPA is a plus
• Strong aptitude for accuracy and attention to detail
• Desire and ability to work in a team environment and communicate well with others
• Possess strong analytical and organizational skills
• Proficient or advanced in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience with Oracle is a plus
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate
