Financial Reporting Analyst

As a Financial Reporting Analyst, you'll drive experience, knowledge and expertise to supervise preparation of and/or draft and review of annual, semi-annual and quarterly financial statements and Forms (N-CEN, N-PORT, N-MFP, 24F-2, and N-CSR) for registered investment companiesYou're knowledge of Mutual Funds reporting will enable you to multi-task in a fast-paced environment driven to draft and review Financial Statements.

To be successful, you'll need to provide support to the fund's Treasurer in connection with general fund financial information. The individual is also responsible for systems enhancements as they relate to financial reporting needs and development of the group.

Key responsibilities include:

Financial Reporting:

  • -Draft annual, semi-annual and quarterly financial statements and Forms N-CEN, N-PORT, N-MFP, 24F-2 and N-CSR for registered investment companies, as well as timetable calendars for such statements.
  • - Work with the Fund Administration Manager in board book and procedures manuals preparation.
  • - Report and communicate performance data to fund management and industry publications.
  • - Develop and maintain a working familiarity with applicable laws, regulations and interpretations governing financial statements and disclosure, including the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Internal Revenue Code, GAAP, Regulation S-X and other applicable requirements.
  • - Maintain awareness of regulatory changes effecting funds.
  • - Communicate appropriately with the Fund Reporting Team Leader with respect to all timetables and workflow, and communicating to the extent appropriate about all relevant matters with other department members within BBH.

Technology/Innovation:

  • - Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Unity Workstation and Unity NXT for Regulatory Reporting.
  • - Evaluate and suggest enhancements to Unity applications.
  • - Communicate appropriately with the Financial Reporting Team Leader with respect to all timetables and workflow.

Teamwork:

  • - Perform special projects as directed by the Fund Reporting Team Leader.
  • - Assist in the review of work completed by junior level staff members with regard to internal policies, procedures and systems as required.

Education level and/or relevant experience(s):

  • - BA/BS degree and/or equivalent work experience; Business related concentration is preferable.
  • Education and Experience
  • - 3 to 5 years mutual fund accounting or related mutual fund experience including 1 to 2 years of prior financial reporting experience.
