Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT financial analyst to join our team. The Financial Reporting Technical Analyst will provide support in managing the overall Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) budget and assist with the financial planning process. This includes monitoring actual financial performance against budgeted and forecast expectations, analyzing, compiling, interpreting, and presenting financial data for budgeting and reporting purposes.

Job Description

The Financial Reporting Technical Analyst is responsible for delivering superior services acting as a liaison between the financial accounting and reporting teams and the IT team with a focus on solutions for regulatory reporting and financial accounting needs. Applies skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with an understanding of industry-wide business process and analysis practices and organizational policies and procedures. Defining and performing analysis, design, development, planning, implementation, and supporting of some of the critical regulatory and financial accounting reporting needs of the company. The Financial Reporting Technical Analyst manages plans, organizes, and controls projects which have an organizational impact as well as provides day-to-day support for complex reporting solutions.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will write business and functional requirements, and report definition and data governance for complex financial accounting projects.
  • You will maintain awareness of and interpret existing and new regulatory reporting needs of the company. You will also identify the impact of these reporting needs and the resources required to achieve them.
  • You will provide complex business process modeling, and project estimates for said projects and enhancements.
  • You will create intricate reports from database repositories such as Oracle Financials and perform multifaceted queries.
  • You will manage complex projects using bank's existing methodology, artifacts, funding, etc., while performing testing on the projects and enhancements.
  • You will analyze data processes and data quality in accordance with Enterprise Data Quality Standards. You will also collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to develop data quality rules and remediate data quality issues for critical data elements supporting financial reporting.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Accounting and 3+ years of directly related experience in Technical Analysis, Data Analytics, or Bank Operations or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.

  • Financial analysis and forecasting.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.

  • Expense management and cost optimization.

  • General IT experience or knowledge of infrastructure hardware, software, and networking including telecommunications services.

  • Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies.

  • Process improvement and documentation.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Attention-to-detail and ability to work with accuracy.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
