Financial Services Administrator

Over the past forty years, Montefiore's Division of Substance Abuse has helped thousands of men and women enter recovery and re-join their families and communities. Through recovery, individuals are empowered to help find meaning in their lives and integrate back into their communities.

To assist the Director of Finance in managing all fiscal issues for the Division including but not limited to annual budgets, budget modifications and grant reporting. Also responsible for assisting the Director of Finance in billing and collections relating to Medicaid, Managed Medicaid, third party insurance and grant vouchering, supervising Accounts Payable function and supervising admission/discharge staff.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain grant budgeting, voucher submission and budget modifications
• Prepare weekly reports to monitor billing errors, denials and collections
• Supervise admission/discharge staff to ensure accurate patient census between EMR and billing software
• Prepare requisitions in HCM for Division, track requisitions through the process and ensure they are approved
• Review and supervise Medicaid, managed Medicaid and third-party billing and collections
• Supervise 3 admission/intake staff and provide additional support for 4 billing representatives and three accounting clerks

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree Healthcare Finance or Administration preferred
• 3 + years of working experience
• Must be knowledgeable with regard to all billing guidance from various oversight agencies including CMS, (Medicaid & Medicare), OASAS including APG billing, DOH, SAMHSA and others
